How to Use
Follow these steps to create your calendar:
- Select the month and year you want to generate
- Choose whether weeks should start on Sunday or Monday
- Select single month, quarter, or full year view
- Enable optional features like week numbers and holidays
- Click "Generate Calendar" to create your calendar
- Click any date to highlight it, or use the highlight form
- Use "Print Calendar" to print or save as PDF
Week Start Options
Different regions use different week start days:
- Sunday: Common in the US, Canada, Japan, and some other countries
- Monday: ISO 8601 standard, used in Europe and most of the world
Choose the option that matches your preference or regional convention.
Week Numbers
Week numbers follow the ISO 8601 standard:
- Week 1 is the first week containing a Thursday
- Equivalently, week 1 contains January 4th
- Week numbers range from 1 to 52 or 53
Useful for business planning and project management.
Highlighting Dates
You can highlight important dates in two ways:
- Click directly: Click any date in the calendar to toggle highlighting
- Use the form: Enter a date, optional note, and color, then click "Add Highlight"
Highlighted dates are saved and will appear when you regenerate the calendar.
Printing
To print your calendar:
- Click the "Print Calendar" button
- In the print dialog, you can save as PDF instead of printing
- For best results, use landscape orientation for quarter and year views
- Consider using "Fit to page" scaling
Holidays
When "Show US Holidays" is enabled, these federal holidays are displayed:
- New Year's Day
- Martin Luther King Jr. Day
- Presidents' Day
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Columbus Day
- Veterans Day
- Thanksgiving
- Christmas
Calendar Views
Three view options are available:
- Single Month: Detailed view of one month with large date cells
- Quarter: Three consecutive months shown together (Q1-Q4)
- Full Year: All 12 months in a grid layout for overview planning
