Timezone Converter

Convert times across world timezones with DST handling and meeting planner

Overview

The Timezone Converter helps you work with time across different timezones worldwide. It automatically handles daylight saving time (DST), allows you to compare multiple timezones simultaneously, and includes a meeting planner to find optimal times for global collaboration.

Tips

  1. Always specify the timezone name - Never say “2 PM” without including the timezone. Use IANA names (like America/New_York) instead of abbreviations (CST could mean Central, China, or Cuba time).

  2. Use 24-hour format for international communication - This eliminates AM/PM confusion and is the standard in most of the world outside the US.

  3. Reference UTC as the universal standard - When coordinating globally, provide times in UTC so everyone can convert to their local timezone accurately.

  4. Check for DST transitions - Daylight saving time changes twice yearly in many regions, which can shift meeting times. Always verify if DST is active for the specific date.

  5. Remember that dates can change across timezones - A 10 PM meeting in New York is 11 AM the next day in Tokyo, which matters for recurring meetings and scheduling.
