Convert between Celsius, Fahrenheit, and Kelvin
Enter a temperature value in any scale (Celsius, Fahrenheit, or Kelvin), and the other two scales will automatically update with the converted values. The thermometer visualizations show the relative temperature.
The Celsius scale is used worldwide and in scientific contexts. It's based on the freezing point (0°C) and boiling point (100°C) of water at sea level.
The Fahrenheit scale is primarily used in the United States. Water freezes at 32°F and boils at 212°F at sea level. The scale was designed so that human body temperature is approximately 100°F.
The Kelvin scale is an absolute temperature scale used in science and engineering. It starts at absolute zero (0 K), the theoretical point where all molecular motion stops. Unlike Celsius and Fahrenheit, Kelvin uses no degree symbol.
